Beres Hammond was born in 1955 in Annotto Bay on the north coast of Jamaica, but not far from Kingston near where his family moved during his childhood. Recorded his first song was a teenager, and after winning an amateur singing contest organized by the renowned sound system Merriton Disco decides to seek the path of success as a singer.
